Google Calendar Review

Amy Morton / 07 Oct 2020

Get App

Google Calendar is a little app that helps you keep track of all events and share them with your friends. It was upgraded to fit smaller screens of smartphones and meet the demand of touch users. The Google Calendar latest version is available on all popular platforms.

Smart and fast calendar: 5

With the Google Calendar review, I'd like to point out how smart this little app is. You can easily add information, including notes with details and blocks of time, and choose to repeat the task on specific days of the week.

Google Calendar app gives you access to third-party calendars and lets you customize notifications. Besides, you can add upcoming events to the calendar directly from your email. You can integrate it with Microsoft Exchange, iCloud or Yahoo. With smart functions, such as appointment suggestion, the Google Calendar free app is the best choice in the app store.

Follows the Material Design concept: 5

In 2014, Google redesigned the calendar according to the Material Design concept. Now, the Google Calendar android and ios versions have a beautiful Schedule view. The layout is airy and clean with bright accents that add personality to a simple app. It looks nothing like a PC program with its utilitarian design. By tapping the "Month" button you will see an overview of a full month with upcoming and past events.

Works on Android and iOS devices: 4

There are Google Calendar iOS and Android apps. Even though the list of available platforms isn't impressive, its sharing abilities are top-notch. Since this is a web-based solution, you can access it from your PC. Besides, everyone with a permission can update, change and keep track of all appointments. When you don't have an internet connection, you can still access the calendar in a View-only mode.

The best alternative to your device's calendar

Google Calendar is a great alternative to whatever calendar your device has. Google redesigned the app to make it look the same on all platforms. With smart features and time-saving functions, it is a breeze to use. Overall, when I need to manage my schedule, this is my top pick.

You’ll like it if you use:

  • Edo Agenda. Aside from schedule management, this calendar helps you stay productive and creative.
  • Cal. Simple calendar with photo-focused design.
  • TimeBlocks. This is a helpful daily planner that combines the best features of a task app and a calendar.
