Microsoft Word Review
Microsoft Word is a famous app that gives lots of love to its users. The developer offers free upgrades to all Pro license holders with different update options available to different subscription plans. The app is very easy to use and perfectly optimized for smaller screens.
Offers consistent experience: 4
I'd like to start this Microsoft Word review with how consistent this app is across many platforms. The app looks a lot like its PC version, helping users to quickly shift to the mobile version. Users also get OneDrive cloud storage to share and sync their documents. All standard functions of the Microsoft Word app are here, including text formatting, shading and fitting.
The Microsoft Word latest version also comes with footer and header customization, as well as advanced features. These include link creation and footers. Unfortunately, the Microsoft Word android and Microsoft Word ios versions don't check spelling and grammar.
Intuitive and user-friendly interface: 5
For something created by Microsoft, the app has a surprisingly clean and intuitive interface. To get started, you need to get a Microsoft Word apk, open the app and tap the + icon. There is also the Browse icon at the upper right corner of the main screen, where you can find your OneDrive account. Here you will also find all shared documents and can add a third-party cloud storage account.
Perfect for touch users: 5
Microsoft Word mobile version was created with touch users in mind. You can still connect a Bluetooth keyboard to your phone, but the app layout makes it easy to type, edit and share documents. The buttons are far apart to make them easy to press.
Go to the top of the main screen to access extra features. For example, a light bulb icon can teach you how to print, count words, search phrases, and so on.
One of the most capable word processors
Despite several niggles, this is still the most capable word processor in the market. Microsoft Word has all essentials you can possibly need to work with files. The company reworked the layout to suit mobile users and improved navigation. Overall, it's a perfect app for touchscreen use.
You’ll like it if you use:
- Google Docs. This online tool has the best balance of convenience and functionality.
- Etherpad. This open-source app is easily customizable to fit your needs.
